Furmint coming from a south-facing slope called "Öreg-dűlő" (meaning "Old-vineyard") in Paulis: old, rocky, granite soil, facing the River Mures, with low yield (30-40 q/ha). The wine has a vibrant, pale yellow colour, complex aromas of honeysuckle, peach and quince. The taste is angular and fresh with delicate stone fruits, apple blossom and lemon zest on the palate leading to a long, peppery finish. The 50% of the wine was matured in large - 500 l) Hungarian oak barrels for approx. 6 to 8 months on lees, sur lie, with battonage every second week.
