The KOLNA Vineyard Selection wines come from vines positioned on the middle slopes from an altitude between 150-300 meters. Here the vines are more exposed to the sun, the fertile soil start begins to be thinner, and due to the inclination, the slopes are well-drained.
Vinfication: 10 days skin contact, followed by the alcoholic fermentation with natural yeasts in stainless steel tanks at 25 C temperature. 30% aged in new small oak barrels for 6 months
Colour: bright, ruby red
Tasting notes: fresh and fruity with youthful red and black fruit aromas. On the palate the taste is dry with well-balanced acidity combined with flavours of ripe red cherries and notes of green capsicum. A light bodied but intensely aromatic, easy drinking wine.
Food pairing: cold cuts, smoked trout, fish soup, Beef Bourguignon, pasta with tomato-based sauce, bolognese, pork liver pâté, hard cheese.
